Loaves & Fishes is a community outreach program that provides meals and other support for neighbors who are homeless or food-insecure in Fort Pierce, Florida and the surrounding area.
Our volunteers prepare and serve nutritious meals cafeteria-style. Each guest is offered a plate, snack bag, cold bottled water and coffee or juice.
We run a free commissary for clothing, personal hygiene items, blankets and sleeping bags and other outdoor-living essentials.
Some of our volunteers serve as advocates. They help our neighbors with social services. They also help them apply for government documents and benefits.
Our vision includes opening a community center to offer respite to chronically homeless neighbors: a safe place to shower and wash clothes; get mail and a host of other services that we take for granted.
